2018 Ferrari 812 Superfast
The Ferrari 812 Superfast is a high-performance grand tourer produced by Italian automaker Ferrari beginning in 2018. It represents the successor to the F12berlinetta model, incorporating several major upgrades and improvements.
At the heart of the 812 Superfast is a new 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 800 CV (789 hp) at 8,500 rpm, making it the most powerful Ferrari V12 road car to date. This allows the 812 Superfast to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of over 340 km/h (211 mph).
A key upgrade is the introduction of a new independent four-wheel steering system, a first for a front-engined V12 Ferrari. This provides increased agility and responsiveness, especially at lower speeds, and improves stability at high speeds. Combined with revised Side Slip Control it makes the 812 Superfast more dynamic and engaging to drive.
Extensive aerodynamic work has also been carried out, resulting in a 35% boost in downforce compared to the F12berlinetta. At the front is an F1-derived S-Duct and active flaps integrated into the bumper, while the rear features a larger diffuser and retractable spoiler. These generate increased downforce without impacting drag or fuel consumption.
Pikachu is finished in a very limited-run color called "Giallo Modena", a vibrant yellow hue that pays homage to Ferrari's birthplace in Modena, Italy. It helps the 812 Superfast stand out with its bold, eye-catching presence.
Overall, the 2018 Ferrari 812 Superfast represents the pinnacle of front-engined V12 performance combined with cutting-edge active dynamics and aerodynamics. It pushes the limits for a grand tourer while retaining refined drivability and unmatched style.
