Once spotted at a junkyard in Elm Mott, Texas back around in 2020 and they wanted $3,200 for a project non-running car and at that time it was too steep for me especially since I didn’t know much about these cars except that I liked them. I kept track of the car online and saw that the price was $2,500 but it was still too steep, I had to forget about it because I was torturing myself and there’s be no way of affording this car. Fast forward approximately a year later, my cousin calls me all excited about this little silver 2 door and sure enough, it was a 1988 Pontiac Fiero that I wanted, they wanted $1,800 by the time he called me while I was in disbelief that this was the same car. I ended up paying $1,400 for Soarin on March 23, 2021 and had him shipped to someone familiar with these cars, had him look it over, the mechanic replaced the Flex Plate, flex plate bolts, and upgraded the brake lines with braided steel. I took an Amtrak for Christmas to pick Soarin up and drove him a total of 650 miles to El Paso, where he resides and makes appearances in car meets, car shows, dailied to the stores, and hit a track in Deming New Mexico on 9/24/2022.
